Mathematical Analysis of Fluids

The main research area of In-Jee Jeong is mathematical analysis of fluids. He focuses on the long-time dynamics and potential singularity formation for the vorticity in incompressible fluids, especially for planar and axisymmetric flows. More specifically, he is working on problems related to existence and dynamics of vortex rings and dipoles, as well as behavior of low regularity vortices. To this end, he has been developing new concepts and analytical tools combining the Eulerian and Lagrangian viewpoints on fluid dynamics.
