Large N Universality of 4d SCFTs: from simple gauge groups to SU(N)xSU(N) quivers
ABSTRACT
At large N, we classify the 4d N=1 asymptotically free gauge theories that flow to interacting superconformal fixed points. With a simple gauge group and no superpotential, the interacting fixed points fall into three universality classes according to the large N behavior of the central charges. For two-node quivers with gauge group SU(N)×SU(N), the RG flow lives in the plane of the two gauge couplings. We control this flow exactly and find that the interacting fixed points it reaches fall into the same three classes as for simple gauge groups.
