Seogjoo J. Jang is a professor of chemistry at Queens College of the City University of New York (CUNY) and is a doctoral faculty at the Graduate Center of CUNY for both Chemistry and Physics PhD programs.   His research expertise is in the development of theories and computational methods of quantum dynamics calculations and simulations in complex molecular environments.   These were developed primarily for understanding and quantitative modeling of the dynamics and spectroscopy of molecular excitons and charge carriers in the context of solar energy conversion, imaging, and chemical sensing.  Major fundings for these came from both the National Science Foundation and the Department of Energy.   His current research areas of interest include olfaction, quantum information processing, quantum thermodynamics, and machine learning.
