Choi, Sangkook
Professor
quantum materials and quantum information science
Prof. Sangkook Choi's research focuses on understanding quantum many-body phenomena in quantum materials and leveraging this understanding in quantum information science. To this end, he is developing new theoretical methodologies based on classical computers and implementing them as general-purpose computer packages. Through these tools, he explores the potentials of quantum materials as new qubit materials. Recently, Prof. Choi has expanded his research into advancing quantum algorithms on quantum computers. His goal is to develop algorithms that can address challenges surpassing the capabilities of classical computing and gain deeper insights into quantum many-body phenomena
