Professor

The School of Computational Sciences at Korea Institute for Advanced Study is seeking outstanding faculty candidates for one full-time Professor position in one of the areas of Computational sciences.

The candidates are required to have doctorate degrees in the relevant fields for which computational methods are appropriate or even necessary: all areas of Computational Sciences including Artificial Intelligence/Machine learning/Deep learning, Quantum Information, Protein folding and Theory of Materials.

The initial appointment for the faculty position is from one to three years and is renewable for every up to seven years depending on overall research performance. Accommodation may be supported upon request, depending on the availability of vacancies

Research Fellow

The School of Computational Sciences in the Korea Institute for Advanced Study (KIAS) invites applications for KIAS research fellow positions in Computational Sciences.

Applicants are expected to have demonstrated exceptional research potential, including major contributions beyond or through the doctoral dissertation. Applicants should submit a curriculum vitae, a list of publications, a research statement, and three letters of recommendation through KIAS recruitment webpage (https://jobs.kias.re.kr) by June 30, 2023(23:59, GMT +9) for full consideration. * Salary & Benefits

The annual salary and other benefits are provided in accordance with KIAS regulations.

  - The annual salary is around 45,000,000 Korean Won(current exchange rate) excluding severance pay and 4 major social insurances.

  - An individual research grant(Up to 10,000,000 Korean Won) and a benefit card(2,000,000 Korean Won) will be available each year.

Benefits are subject to change depending on internal regulations and funding.

* Period of Appointment
The initial appointment for this position is for two years with possibility of a one-time renewal for up to two to three years, depending on research performance and the needs of the research program at KIAS.

Project Research Fellow

The School of Computational Sciences accepts applications for Project Research Fellow positions until October 16, 2022 for the following research field.

Area 1: Analyzing quantum entanglement under a noisy environment and developing active noise control schemes for quantum repeater


The contract period of each position may be adjusted according to the project/program conditions.
